As a high-achiever, you know the drive for success can come at a cost. Often, that cost is quality sleep.
I've been there, and I know firsthand how it can impact every aspect of your life.
10 years ago I was in the Army. I had already gotten my Ph.D. in Psychology and was working in a high-profile position with the Special Forces. By all accounts, I was doing well and my career was on an upward trajectory.
The problem was, I was incredibly burnt out.
The work, which was very meaningful to me, was beginning to feel hollow. My energy and drive plummeted. I was irritable and had very little patience at work and, more importantly, at home with my wife.
I knew my sleep could be better, but with everything else going on, it kept falling to the bottom of my priority list.
To make matters worse, I started experiencing frequent bouts of insomnia.
I knew something had to change...
Around this time, I happened to attend a conference, and one of the presenters was discussing the importance of sleep and strategies for curing insomnia.
I'm not sure why but it finally clicked. I realized how much my poor sleep was affecting everything else.
That talk led me to literally change my career path. I became a bit obsessed with sleep science, eventually becoming board-certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine.
As I applied what I learned to my own life, things began to improve dramatically:
-
My mood improved significantly (much to my wife’s relief)
-
My focus and concentration sharpened (which is important to me since I have ADHD)
-
My motivation and drive returned
-
My processing speed increased and decision making became more accurate
-
My energy levels rebounded and my willpower with regard to food improved (the combination helped me to lose over 50 lbs!)
A few years later I became the Sleep Specialist for the Navy SEALs in San Diego. Helping such an elite group of individuals improve their performance and overall wellbeing by fixing their sleep was a tremendous privilege and eye-opening experience.
I realized that the program I developed for the SEALs would help anybody who relies heavily on mental and physical performance in their daily lives.
That's when I decided to launch Peak Sleep, shifting from the role of psychologist to coach.
This shift has allowed me to expand my reach considerably. I now help a wide range of high-performers improve their sleep, from those struggling to those simply looking for an edge.
While most of my clients these days are entrepreneurs, executives, and athletes, the coaching programs I've developed are designed for all busy professionals.
If my story resonates with you, know that you're not alone and that there is a path to better sleep. My sincere hope is that you don't wait as long as I did to take that first step.

Understanding Your Sleep Zone
Sleep performance falls into three distinct zones. Knowing your zone is crucial because strategies effective for one zone may be useless or even harmful for another - a fact often overlooked in sleep advice found online.

Zone #1
'Maintain'Â
You are getting an ideal amount of quality sleep - your job now is to keep doing what they're doing because it's clearly working

Zone #2
'Optimize'Â
You're not struggling with sleep, but there's clear room for improvement – optimizing your sleep could really boost your performance and well-being

Zone #3
'Total Transformation'Â
You are struggling with your sleep & likely frustrated – while there are very effective strategies for fixing your sleep, it requires a little more support than Zone 2
Individual CoachingÂ
Peak Sleep's individual coaching gives you direct access to me and my extensive experience and expertise. Whether you're struggling with sleep or looking to optimize it, I’ll work with you to craft a personalized plan that can significantly improve your sleep - and performance - in just weeks.

I'm not gonna lie, it took some effort to change some of my habits. But the results are real. I'm much less of an asshole these days :)Â

IÂ had insomnia for years. Eric's program helped me fix it. It wasn't easy, but seriously worth it. I'm sleeping better than I have in a long time."

When I was starting my company I thought sacrificing sleep was part of the job. Eric showed me how wrong I was. Finished the program about a month ago and feel great.
